Dr. Hans Igou , D.D.S

“Dr. Hans Igou (pronounced Eye-go) is a highly skilled, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who combines advanced surgical expertise with genuine compassion for his patients. Dedicated to providing exceptional care, Dr. Igou takes pride in helping patients restore function, confidence, and comfort through personalized treatment and modern surgical techniques.
Raised on a cattle ranch in Stuart, Oklahoma, Dr. Igou learned the values of hard work, integrity, and service from an early age. His career began in the United States Army and continued in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served for 12 years and achieved the rank of Major.
Dr. Igou holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences, both earned with a 4.0 GPA from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree with Summa cum Laude honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He went on to complete Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) and an intensive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center—training that shaped his expertise in complex surgical care.
Beyond his practice, Dr. Igou is passionate about giving back. He volunteers his time and skills to provide essential surgical care to underserved communities, participates in local free clinics, and supports local initiatives like Kids Day, reflecting his deep commitment to improving the well-being of others.
Dr. Igou is a proud member of the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, and holds certifications Combat Lifesaver Course, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
He holds hospital privileges at Mercy Hospitals and other local hospitals in southeastern Oklahoma, ensuring his patients receive trusted, continuous care across multiple locations.
Outside of his profession, Dr. Igou values quality time with his wife, Jen, and their two children, Adria and Weston. He embraces a healthy lifestyle, engaging in weightlifting and enjoying the occasional round of golf.
